Navigating the Transition to Low Carbon Liquid Fuels
While biodiesel has been present in our heating fuel for many years, Connecticut now requires that every gallon of heating oil contain a minimum of 5% biodiesel. In the field, you may encounter blends ranging from the minimum to 20% and even higher amounts. State law in Connecticut and other states in our region will eventually require 50% blends. Are you ready? Do you have questions? Have you figured out how and what you should be doing as we make this transition? Here is your opportunity!
